Cap Adapter Kits Installation Instruction for Honda Distributor
1. Refer to the appropriate figure and the installation instructions for your ignition. The Crane LX91 coil is recommended for HI-6S installations. The Crane LX92 is recommended for HI-6 installations. Do not use the LX92 coil with the HI-6S. Follow the ignition installation instructions, using the parts supplied with the adapter kit.You can use one of the screws that held the coil to hold the 2 position terminal block. Caution : Turbo installations. High boost pressure raises the required spark plug firing voltage and can cause arcing from the distributor cap to the distributor body.
For these applications, you must retain the original equipment dust shield. The supplied coil wire has a special retainer for use with Crane LX series coils. Additional terminals and boots are supplied for use with other coils and for the high voltage connection to the distributor cap.
